Alaverdi – the pride of Georgia
The sights of Georgia are the whole cities and individual streets, but mostly they are temples and churches, architectural creations. Judging by all this, it can be said that religion has long been highly valued here and in most of the country believers inhabited the country.

It is also considered one of the tallest buildings of that era. Earlier on the site of the temple was a small church of St. George, and therefore the modern cathedral is sometimes called that way. For more than 10 centuries, the building was destroyed by invaders and, subsequently, restored. In addition to the cathedral itself, there is a bell tower, a summer palace, a refectory and a fence behind the fortress wall. Not far from the Cathedral of Alaverdi are the tombs of the kings.
